HVAC Maintenance Tech

The Service Technician performs maintenance and/or installation for HVAC/R equipment, duct systems, fittings, grilles/registers/diffusers, controls, and related equipment.  Performs other duties/tasks as required. They should be able to identify issues within a system and solve them. It’s also essential for them to have good communication skills to convey any problems.

  • Salary: $16-30 an hour
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Number of hires for this role: 1
  • Normal Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday-Friday, on call as scheduled

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifies potential problems during maintenance that might affect current or future system performance. 
  • Provides customers with information on new equipment when existing equipment exceeds 10 years of age or is in generally poor condition.
  • Presents findings and options to customers, providing advice as needed/requested. 
  • Provides customers with information and pricing on service agreements, accessories, and other comfort improvements.
  • Utilize the Flat Rate Pricing book on all repairs and accessories.
  • Participate in the emergency night service rotation.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork legibly and in full
  • Maintain a clean and properly stocked truck at all times.
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction and/or salesperson/supervisor sign-off upon completion of the work.

Qualifications:

  • EPA certified 
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving and criminal records as required by state laws for home service companies and by company insurance carrier(s)
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds, good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
  • Standard technician tools
  • NATE certification preferred
  • Neat, clean, professional appearance. 
  • Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of apprenticeship.

Plumber

A successful Plumber needs to have experience working with various fixtures involved in their field. They should be able to identify issues within a system and solve them. It’s also essential for them to have good communication skills to convey any problems.

  • Salary: $16-30 an hour
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Number of hires for this role: 1
  • Normal Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday-Friday, (one Saturday a month)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the Flat Rate Pricing book on all repairs and accessories. 
  • Perform plumbing service and installation work and drain cleaning.
  • Perform plumbing installations or replacements of well pumps, water heaters, water and steam boilers, water conditioners, water filters, toilets, faucets, etc. 
  • Participate in the emergency night service rotation. 
  • Complete all necessary paperwork legibly and in full. 
  • Maintain a clean and properly stocked truck at all times.
  • Participate in all company, plumbing and training meetings. 
  • Utilize the internet based technical training offered by the company.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a plumber
  • Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings
  • Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems as well as appliances
  • Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly with a great deal of patience
  • Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
  • Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of apprenticeship
  • Valid license to practice profession.
